A level’s National Award, Sociologist and Lawyer, he´s been assistant lecturer at the Professorship of Sociology, Methodology and Systematics at the Faculty of Politics and Economic Sciences in Madrid, Professor of Sociology of the Knowledge at the Institute of Higher Professional Studies of the San Pablo University Foundation (CEU), Professor of Population at the Iberian School of Sociology and Development, Professor of Sociology of Cooperativism at the School of Cooperative Management of the National Centre for Cooperative Education, Chairman of the Commitee of Social Sciencies of the ESPES’ 2.000 Programm (Prospective Study of the Education in the society of the 2.000) in which seven Spanish universities took part. He has carried out several non regulated teaching activities by means of lectures, short courses, seminars, etc.
From 1962 to 1964 he was Techninal Secretary of Researches of CARITAS NACIONAL, after having being member of its Research Department from 1960 to 1962. Between 1965 and 1966 he was Director of DOCUMENTACIÓN Y PRENSA S.A. (DOPRESS S.A.), publisher of DIARIO DE DIARIOS Y REVISTA DE REVISTAS, affiliated company of SOCIEDAD DE INVESTIGACIÓN ECONÓMICA S.A. From 1967 to the present day, practising the Sociology as a liberal professional, he has supervised and carried out more than sixty sociological researches with field work. He is the author of several scientifical and political publications (see below the list of a couple of dozens of them about the Basque Country).
Following the vast journalistic tradition in his family, he has, since he was a student, contributed to several media of all kinds including underground media during the Franco years) such as YA diary, SÁBADO GRÁFICO magazine, TRIBUNA MÉDICA weekly and I.P/Mark (Information on Publicity and Marketing) and RELAVIONES PÚBLICAS magazines.He contributed for nine years to the magazine called PUNTO Y HORA DE EUSKAL HERRIA: with a weekly column called PALABRAS ARMADAS (armed words), writing the cover subject for a year, publishing serial reports, etc. He has also published in EGIN newspaper. Nowadays and since 1995 he takes part in a weekly gathering of political analys in Egin Irratia.
He was born in Madrid on 13.11.1937, got married to the Basque Margarita Ayestaran Aranaz from Pamplona and has been living since 1980 in the Southern Basque Country, in Navarre (and in Pamplona, the historical capital city of the Basque Country since 1991).
He defines himself as a radical communist and abertzale (Basque nationalist), Basque independentist, feminist and ecologist.
